Dr Daniel Nightingale is a phenomenal world renowned Clinical Dementia Specialist with a Ph.D. and advanced diplomas and degrees in his area of expertise Clinical Hypno-Psychotherapist. His unique research means that he is the leading authority in the application of Hypnosis and Brain Health Coaching for those living with dementia. Dr Dan is also Fellow Of The Royal Society of Medicine. As Founder and Pioneer of Nightingale Dementia Consultants, he is now the Director of the premier Nightingale Dementia Consultants Diploma programme for those looking to support people and their loved ones living with early to mid-stage dementia. In 2019 Dr Dan received a book publishing deal with Jessica Kingsley Publishers and is now author of ‘A Clinicians Guide To Non-Pharmacological Dementia Therapies’.
Dr Dan was also Director of Care and Dementia Services for the Priory. This entailed clinical care, education and operational management as the company built a portfolio of dementia specific nursing homes across England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
As a prestigious and well respected Hypnotherapist, TV presenter and Published Author, Steve is also Joint Owner of the Nightingale Dementia Consultants Diploma. Around seven years ago Steve received the devastating news that his mum had been diagnosed with dementia. Heartbroken, Steve has been by his mum’s side since the day of diagnosis and now supports others living with early to mid-stage dementia and their loved ones. He has been featured widely for his straight talking work as a Hypnotherapist including Sunday Telegraph, BBC Television, Sky TV, Daily Mail and ITV’s Good Morning Britain and This Morning. Steve has a specialist interest in motivational stimulation and nutrition for those living with dementia, and is an avid campaigner for this cause.
Head of Customer
& Senior Consultant
Lynn Bishop is Head Of Customer Experience and Senior Consultant to the Nightingale Dementia Consultants board supporting the team to drive and implement business and customer experience strategy. She is also the CFO and co-owner of Royal Brit Home Care with Dr. Nightingale. She has a B.S. in Business Administration with an option in Marketing from California State University Long Beach. She brings a wealth of business experience in major corporations such as Boeing, Standard Register and Bank of America. Her previous positions include: Office Manager, Procurement Agent and Customer Service Supervisor and Plant Manager. She was responsible for managing multi-million dollar contracts and handling all aspects of accounting, payroll, inventory control and human resources. Lynn also has over 20 years of customer service experience. She has a personal and professional connection to dementia and believes in using alternative therapies to improve the quality of life of those living this journey.
Nadine Jans is a Registered Clinical Counsellor in Canada and a Psychologist in the Netherlands. She has gained over 15 years of experience helping individuals with dementia and their loved ones. In her work as a research participant at Zuyd University in the Netherlands, she co-created a Handbook For Clinicians to increase participation of people with dementia in health care. Her work reached deeper levels after receiving training from Dr. Daniel Nightingale, in hypnotherapy for people living with dementia, and she is now seeing even more powerful results in helping individuals with dementia find more calmness, meaning, and joy in their lives.
Technical & Finance
Andrew is one of the joint owners of the Nightingale Dementia Consultants Diploma and is a Senior Consultant to the board with specific responsibilities for all things technical and financial. Andrew has a background in business and as a respected entrepreneur heads global growth strategy. He also supports qualified graduates of the Nightingale Dementia Consultant Programme in website development, social media engagement and business planning.
Stephen Truelove is passionate about every person being the best they can be regardless of their situation in life. Stephen’s dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s just over five years ago and he set out to find ways that he could help him. He found Dr Daniel Nightingale and trained with him using Hypnotherapy which helped to stabilise and ensure his dad stay on what the medical team refer to as a ‘slow burn’. Stephen has also worked with residents in the Care Home sector, and is continuing to support the residents living with dementia with impressive results, which are monitored by both care workers and nursing staff.
Dr Sue Peacock
Dr Sue Peacock is a leading Consultant Health Psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. She is also an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society and a Registered Hypnotherapist with experience of supporting clients with clinical depression, sleep disorders and pain. Dr Sue is a published author and is regularly featured for her work. Dr Sue works in private practice and is a specialist member of Dr Dan’s team advising on associated conditions to dementia including depression.
